Viral now: Desi couple skiing in Saree & Dhoti in the US

An NRI couple have become overnight internet sensation after a video of them skiing while wearing a saree and a dhoti has gone viral on social media. The video is from the Welch Village, a popular skiing haunt in Minnesota, USA and it features the couple, Divya and Madhu.

The duo recently posted their skiing clips in which Divya can be seen wearing a saree and Madhu donning a dhoti. The couple’s skiing video went viral for their traditional ski gear.

Sharing the video on the gram, Divya wrote, "We needed to do something really crazy today to distract ourselves! #sareeadventures #dmadkindalove."

“My partner in crime for everything silly and stupid. And thank you for all the love pouring in from everywhere for the Skiing in Saree videos,” Divya wrote in another post on Instagram.

The video begins with both Divya and Madhu wearing saree and dhoti over their skiing gear. Then after a few seconds they can be seen skiing on snow-covered mountains and having the time of their lives. While Divya wore a turquoise blue embellished saree over her skiing gear, Madhu wore a green shirt and dhoti.

The video has so far managed to garner more than 327k views and over 15k likes.
