Priyanka slams Yogi for ‘hollow’ claims on COVID-19  

India's coronavirus tally has crossed 10,40,000 cases and Uttar Pradesh is the  the new hotspot state with a new high in the number of cases.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has attacked the Uttar Pradesh government over its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, saying that at a time when cases are rapidly rising, the Yogi Adityanath dispensation must adopt transparent policies instead of making false claims.

The Congress general secretary in-charge UP East has been criticising the state government''s response to the COVID-19 crisis, alleging that it is indulging in propaganda, instead of dealing with the pandemic.

Priyanka Gandhi slammed the UP government onve again on Saturday with a series of Tweets, she said, "Despite almost 3 months of lockdown, all claims of the UP government prove wrong, Corona cases have increased sharply in July in 25 districts of UP. There has been a jump of 200% in 3 districts of UP, 400% in 3 and above 1000% in 1 district ... "

Priyanka added, "according to reports, 70 percent of infected people in Prayagraj died within 48 hours of reporting positive. We were afraid of the same thing, so in the beginning, we had written a letter to the Chief Minister of UP and made positive suggestions in this context and raised the matter of maximum testing."
