‘Mark my words, govt will be forced to take back farm laws’: Rahul Gandhi’s old prediction video goes viral

Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the government has decided to repeal the three farm laws and appealed to the protesting farmers to return home, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the Central government saying that farmers’ satyagraha has defeated arrogance.

Congress leader also retweeted his old video predicting the government’s decision to repeal the three farm laws in January this year. The video was captioned “Mark my words. Government will be forced to take back these farm laws.”

The video has now gone viral yet again, and many lauded Rahul Gandhi for supporting the farmers’ cause throughout.

Meanwhile, BKU leader Rakesh Tikait termed PM Modi's decision as "victory of farmers". He, however, said that the protests will continue.

"Farmers will continue to agitate until the laws are taken back in Parliament. MSP Guarantee Act has to be formed. This is a victory of farmers - dedicated to more than 750 farmers who died & to tribals, workers, women who became a part of this agitation," said BKU leader Rakesh Tikait.
