Covid Protocols violation: Delhi Govt directs police to take strict action for not following COVID curfew rules
Since the Coronavirus cases in India are increasing again, many states, including Delhi, have started imposing strict restrictions to hold the spread of the virus.
Delhi government has not only banned celebrations on the occasion of New Year but also directed police and other authorities to deal strictly with those who violate the COVID-19 norms as Delhi is on Yellow alert.
Last week when Delhi Govt started to implement the rules strictly, the Delhi government had reported that within two days Delhi Police registered 163 FIRs and collected Rs 1.5 cr as a fine for violation of the covid protocols.
The police had registered 1,245 cases of violation of covid protocols in East Delhi & 1,446 in North Delhi. Apart from this 7,778 cases of not wearing masks, not following physical distance, and crowd gathering were also registered.
