Yogi to give up the mask of CM, set to go back to his Mahant role

After being embroiled in one controversy after another, the Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath, is once again putting on the garb of an aggressive Hindu leader. Instead of a Chief Minister, he is becoming a saint. And after that, he will don the garb of a king that too of a king like Lord Rama and will celebrate Diwali in Ayodhya like Lord Rama did. For the first time, on the orders of the state government, Ayodhya will celebrate Diwali in a grand manner.

Muharram is also falling on the day after Dussehra but there is no flutter about it in the state government. On Dussehra, CM Yogi will once again adorn the seat of the saint in the Gorakhnath temple. He will not perform any government job during this time. Instead of the Chief Minister, he has once again become the Mahant of Gorakhdham Peeth. He has already started working in his new Avatar from Ashtami itself. He will perform Astra pooja and then perform the ceremony of Ravan Vadh on Dussehra.

In a secular country like India, no Chief Minister has ever led a religious ceremony as a Mahant or saint-deity like this before.

This is possibly for the first time in independent India that a chief minister will be seated on the asana of a saint-deity and will bless people in this capacity.

Not only this, the Chief Minister of UP has declared that Diwali be celebrated in an opulent way in Ayodhya. The UP government has issued an order that there would be a grand celebration on the banks of the Sarayu and Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik will also be present on this occasion.

Preparations for the celebration have already started and the buildings along the banks of the river Sarayu will be adorned with decorative lights.

The Yogi government’s message is clear. This time, Ayodhya should be decorated as it was in the Treta Yug of Lord Rama. In Kaliyug too, the entire state administration is busy decorating Ayodhya like a bride.

It should be remembered here that the Supreme Court verdict on Babri Masjid is around the corner. Before that, the Yogi government has started playing the Ram Mandir card. Religious celebrations on such a huge scale on direct orders of the Chief Minister only exposes the embarrassing use of government machinery to promote the saffron agenda. According to the officials, Yogi will stay in Ayodhya on Chhoti Diwali and will celebrate Diwali in Gorakhdham.
