Will clear Shaheen Bagh in an hour, threatens BJP MP Parvesh Verma during an election rally

Parvesh Verma, Member of Parliament from West Delhi on Monday, January 27 threatened Shaheen Bagh protesters stating that it will take Bharatiya Janata Party only an hour to clear off the agitation in the area.

"If the BJP comes to power in Delhi on February 11, we will clear Shaheen Bagh of all protest and protesters within one hour. Not a single person will be visible," Varma said as he appealed people to vote for the BJP in the upcoming Delhi elections.

West Delhi BJP MP also said that within one month all the existing mosques built on government land will be demolished if the BJP forms government in Delhi.

Speakig to news agency ANI on Tuesday, he said, "Lakhs of people gather there (Shaheen Bagh)... They'll enter your houses, rape your sisters and daughters, kill them. There's time today, (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi ji and Amit Shah won't come to save you tomorrow."

Varma was addressing a crowd at a community center in Ranhoula village which comes under the Vikaspuri Assembly constituency in West Delhi.

For over a month now, hundreds of women have been agitating at South East Delhi's Shaheen Bagh at a sit-in protest against the CAA which promises citizenship to only non-Muslim refugees from three neighbouring countries.
