‘More audio clips hinting at coup against ailing CM Manohar Parrikar may be out soon’: Congress
On Sunday, Goa Congress spokesperson Rohit Bras D’Sa told a media conference in Panaji that the new audio clips could find their way in public domain soon
There are more audio clips of Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane where he is critical of the BJP leadership and speaks of a possible coup against ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, the Goa Congress alleged on Sunday.
At a press conference held at the state Congress headquarters at Panaji, party spokesperson Rohit Bras D'Sa also said that the new audio clips could find their way in public domain soon.
"We have come across a telephonic conversation of the Health Minister, where he is in a hurry to unseat the Chief Minister. This telephonic conversation revealed just a tip of the iceberg," D'Sa said.
"The Health Minister knows what I am talking about. There are telephonic conversations out there. I have heard the conversations. But I will wait for them to be released in the public domain... I can't disclose the source. I am only talking about the conversation of the Health Minister," the spokesperson said.
An audio clip featuring Rane and a local journalist -- where the former claimed that Parrikar in a December 2018 cabinet meeting admitted to possessing a stash of files related to the Rafale deal -- had created ruckus in Parliament during the recently concluded winter session.
Rane had claimed the tape was doctored and Parrikar had subsequently denied making the comment.
The Congress, meanwhile, has demanded the sacking of Rane and a probe by central agencies in a letter to President of India Ram Nath Kovind.
