Ashok Gehlot takes oath as Rajasthan Chief Minister and Sachin as Deputy CM

AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot, was sworn-in on Monday, December 17, as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Rajasthan Congress President Sachin Pilot as Deputy Chief Minister.
Governor Kalyan Singh administered the oath of office and secrecy to Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot at a ceremony held at Albert Hall in Jaipur.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi along with former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was present at the oath ceremony. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was present at the event along with other prominent opposition leaders such as former prime minister HD Devegowda, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah and Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav
Earlier in the day, Ashok Gehlot said, “Once the cabinet is decided, the Chief Minister will work on its advice. Once it’s done, we’ll do what’s in public interest, the manifesto will be our priority.”
Rajasthan Congress President Sachin Pilot said, "New beginning for the state and its people. They trusted us and our work begins today. As soon as cabinet is formed we'll begin working on promises made to people. We'll work to meet their expectations.”
