Former cricketer Imran Khan gets married for the third time
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has confirmed its chairman and former cricketer Imran Khan’s third marriage
Former Pakistani cricket captain and the leader of Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf Party, Imran Khan, got married to his spiritual guru Bushra Maneka on Sunday for the third time.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has confirmed its chairman Imran Khan’s third marriage on Twitter.
The 65-year-old politician married Bushra Bibi in a simple ceremony held in Lahore on Sunday, PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said in a tweet.
He said the marriage ceremony was held at Maneka’s brother’s residence in Lahore. PTI Central Executive Committee member Mufti Muhammad Saeed performed the ‘nikah’.
Imran’s previous two marriages ended in divorce. His first marriage was with Jemima Goldsmith in 1995, which lasted nine years. Imran has two sons from her.
His second marriage with TV anchor Reham Khan in 2015 ended after a brief 10 months.
Earlier, Imran had rejected the reports that he had contracted his marriage with Maneka on January 1 in Lahore’s Defence residence of his ‘new’ brother-in-law.
