Policeman killed in terrorist attack outside Srinagar hospital, Pakistani terrorist escapes
Militants attacked in the heart of Srinagar, killing a J&K policeman while freeing a Pakistani terrorist from custody. Another policeman is battling for life
A policeman was killed on Tuesday and another injured as militants staged a daring attack outside a hospital in Jammu and Kashmir's summer capital to free a Pakistani terrorist from police custody, police said. The Pakistani terrorist, who was brought to the SMHS hospital for treatment managed to escape with the assailants, a police official said. The ultras opened firing on the police party accompanying the Pakistani terrorist outside the hospital in Kaka Sarai area of the city, police said. One policeman was killed while another is battling for life in the hospital, a police official said.
A carbine rifle of one of the cops is also reported missing, the official said. The area has been cordoned off and searches are on to track down the ultras, he added.
