Opinion on Twitter divided over Nitish Kumar’s resignation

Nitish Kumar quit as Bihar Chief Minister on Wednesday amid growing rift with political ally Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) over corruption charges against Bihar’s Deputy CM Tejashvi Yadav.
Kumar’s decision, which is likely to trigger either an Assembly floor test or imposition of President’s Rule, came hours after RJD supremo Lalu Yadav ruled out the resignation of Tejashvi during a meeting between the alliance partners.
"It's not possible to work in such circumstances. I tried to save Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) to the best of my abilities. Had talks with both Lalu and Tejashwi," Nitish Kumar told reporters after resignation.
The resignation created a buzz on Twitter, as at least four hashtags, Nitish Kumar, Lalu Yadav, Mahagathbandhan and Bihar Governor, trended on the social media platform.
Journalist Rana Ayyub slammed Nitish Kumar for his decision, tweeting,
Some were supportive of Kumar’s decision of snapping ties with their alliance partners,
