The Wireless Festival closes with a bang
The Wireless Festival takes place every year in London with a focus on pop and urban music
Modern music was celebrated with all grandeur and glam in London last week with some awesome performances in The Wireless Festival which concluded on Sunday. The music festival which takes place every year in London is owned and managed by Live Nation. One of London's best-loved festivals, Wireless started on 7th July, some of the biggest names in hip hop, R'N'B and grime made their way to Finsbury Park.
The Starboy hitmaker rounded off the three-day music extravaganza on the main stage with hit after hit from his House of Balloons on Sunday. Nas, an American rapper pulled out all the classics from Illmatic, he paid a perfect tribute to Prodigy from Mobb Deep and his inspiration, Michael Jackson. Kojo and Abra cadabra, the hip hop artists rocked the stage along with their selection of guest singers & MCs including Don-E and Mabel.
Tinie Tempah made a surprise appearance at the festival, he joined Wizkid, who has previously collaborated with Chris Brown and Drake, on Sunday. This year, headliners include Chance The Rapper, Skepta and The Weeknd, alongside many other huge names.
The Weekend brought the curtains down at this year's Wireless Festival with a bang as fireworks exploded from the stage while the Starboy belted out his popular track The Hills.
Earlier, Bugzy Malone, Tyga, Ty Dolla $ign, Pusha T, took to the main stage to perform.
The Wireless Festival was established in 2005, it is a city festival with a focus on pop and urban music. Over its eleven years, the festival has played host to the likes of M.I.A, Drake and Boy Better Know. The festival also offers coach packages for people who are travelling from far away. Although there is no camping, the festival provides a full list of accommodation packages on offer.
