Young and Enthusiastic Purva Mantri, who is known for her consecutive hit songs is back again with another romantic song ‘Sanu ek pal’. Sanu ek Pal is a rendition of the original Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sahab song. Purva says, “I love every bit of this song and wanted to recreate it. Be it singing or shooting of the song, I was very cautious in doing each and every bit of it because I wanted the feel of the original song to be there in my rendition. I follow my style; The Purva Style”.

It is either a trend or a compulsion for the upcoming singers to ‘recreate’ the original classics. Though the singers defend these recreations by saying that this is how they are taking the golden oldies to the younger generation, the truth is that remixes or recreations often come out to be inferior than the originals. But since the singers are getting audience on the internet, nobody is complaining about the quality.

Purva, who is famously known as the ‘Indian Shakira’, has shared stage with Music Duo Vishal-Shekhar, Meet Bros, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sonu Nigam and many. She has emerged as a singer with abundant potential. Her previous numbers like ‘Latthe Di Chadar’, ‘Kangna: Reloaded’, ‘Haye Mera Dil: Reloaded’ etc. were well received too by the audiences. Her take on folk fusions like ‘Uljhi’, ‘Char Bangdi’ were a massive hit and are still ruling.

Purva is also one of the fashion icons of the young generation. We can clearly see that in her latest video with the lovely outfits that she adorns. She has proven her versatility with creations in different genres and her risk-taking ability has paid very well in that sense. As a singer, Purva still has a lot to accomplish but for now, she is no doubt successful as her songs are on the most played tracks of today’s Hindi-song-listening younger generation.
