Rohingya refugees: are they really ‘man-eaters’?

As Centre finds it difficult to send back 40,000-odd Rohingya refugees, calling them illegal immigrants and citing their “links with the ISI,” it seems to be getting a good deal of help from social media “circulars”.

The message which is doing the rounds of social media these days claims that “Rohingya Muslims are man-eaters” and hence they deserve to be thrown out of the country.

The message says that their cannibalism is a major reason why Buddhists from Myanmar decided to throw them out. To make the ‘facts’ in the message seem authentic, a few pictures are attached with a message, “If your blood doesn’t boil after seeing these pictures, borrow bangles from your mothers and sisters and wear them.”

अगर सांप ओर नेवले में एक कोई एक किसी दूसरे का निवाला बनता है। अगर चाहते हो कि निवाला न बनो ओर भूख के लिए मर मिट के भी जीतना है तो शस्त्र उठाना पड़ेगा। जहाँ देश, सेना, धर्म, माँ और खुद पर आंच आये वहाँ या तो मर जाओ या मार दो। मैं भी इस नियम को अनुसरण करता हूँ।

कुछ फ़ोटो डाल रहा हूँ अगर इन्हें देख कर भी रक्त उबाल न मारे तो अपनी माँ बहिन से चूड़ी मांग कर पहन लेना।

कुछ मत करो बस धर्म की रक्षा करो। रोहंगिया मुस्लिमो को सभी इस्लामिक देश जानते है के ये इंसानो का गोश खाते है इसलिए इनको अलग से मयमार में बसाया गया था। म्यामार में बोधियो को मार मार कर खाने वाले ये दरिंदे कहि पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश में भी वहाँ के मुस्लिमो को मारकर खाना न शुरू कर दे इसलिए दोनों देशो ने रोहंगिया मुस्लिमो के प्रवेश पर रोक लगा दी और सीमा पर देखते ही गोली मारने के आदेश जारी कर दिए। पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश की सरकारे सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने un में हलफनामा दायर कर चुकी है के हम रोहंगिया मुस्लिमो को शरण नही दे सकते क्योंकि ये लोग इंसान का मांस खाते है। इसके लिए उन्होंने पुरे सबूत un में रख दिए है।

म्यामार के बोधि ही कब तक इनको अपने बच्चों का बूढो का मांस खिलाते सो उन्होंने इनको देश से भगाने का फैंसला कर ही लिया। मानवता और मानवाधिकार गए भाड़ में हमको अपनी जान बचानी है ये देश बचाना है। हमारी मीडिया अंधी है, मानवाधिकार अँधा है, सेक्युलर अंधे है, कोर्ट अंधी है और वे सभी राजनीतिक दल अंधे है जो इन रोहंगिया मुस्लिमो के पक्ष में खड़े है इनको भारत में शरण देने की वकालत कर रहे है। भारत का मुसलमान इन रोहंगियो का सबसे बड़ा शुभचिंतक बन रहा है। ये रोहंगिया मूल रूप से बांग्लादेशी है और इनके खान पान वह इन व्यवहार को देखते हुए बांग्लादेश ने भी इनको अपने देश में जगह देने से इंकार कर दिया। आओ इस देश के लोगो को जागरूक करे ताकि हम लोग इनकी तलवार चाकू की भूख से बच सके। इनकी भुख का निवाला हिन्दू ही नही मुस्लिम भी बनेगा। भारत में जिन मुस्लिमो ने इनको अपने घरो में जगह दी वो जल्द ही परिणाम भुगतेंगे।

National Herald, however, found out that the messages along with the attached pictures that are doing the rounds of the internet are fake. Social Media Hoax Slayer, known for establishing true facts in viral fake social media posts, established that the pictures were “real images” albeit with “wrong description”. SM Hoax Slayer further revealed that the people in the circulated pictures are “neither Muslims” and “nor is the place Burma” as claimed in the messages. The pictures, in fact, as revealed by SM Hoax Slayer, were clicked in 2009 in Thailand “where under some satanic rituals, villagers used to cook and eat flesh of dead people.”

The misleading message also claims that authorities in “Pakistan and Bangladesh have passed shoot-at-sight orders against Rohingya refugees” because “these monsters have started eating Muslims of these countries as well.” Middle-eastern broadcaster Aljazeera, however, reports; “More than 400,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh since August 25 to escape a Myanmar military offensive that the United Nations has called ethnic cleansing.”

Although Bangladesh’s Home Minister, Asaduzzaman Khan, reportedly conceded that “It'll be our (Bangladesh’s) threat in the future,” adding, “for their survival, they will do anything. Anyone can easily purchase them. They can join the international terrorist groups also,” but he admitted that it was just their “assumption” and Bangladesh has no evidence of that occurring.

“We've seen village after village burned. Out of humanity, we opened the border,” Mr Khan added.

Pakistan, on the other hand, “was among the earliest and most strident in condemning the Myanmar government for its offensive, which started after Rohingya militants killed members of the security forces”, as per a New York Times report.
