My ambition was just to move to Mumbai and pursue career in acting: actor Prithvi Tanwar
Young actor Prithvi Tanwar who hails from Rajasthan rose to fame with his unique screen presence and performance in Tum Hi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi. He can now be seen in popular serial 'Saural Simar Ka'
Tell us about your journey?
I had no experience and was also unsure about what I wanted to do. But it had always been my ambition to move to Mumbai and pursue a career in acting. That was enough for me to be motivated. However, when I arrived here, I had no contacts and knew no one. So I enrolled in an acting class, learnt a lot, and auditioned a lot. However, nothing worked, so I decided to join theatre. After six months of performing theatrical plays, I earned my first break in 2015 with Tumhi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi.
Tell us about your track in Sasural Simar Ka part 2?
My track hasn’t been out yet, but it should be by the end of the month. I’m overjoyed to be back on set and to be a part of such a major production once more. I was also a part of the original season for a brief phase, and I consider myself fortunate and glad to currently be working in 'Sasural Simar Ka 2'.
In the midst of the pandemic, how are you shooting?
Currently, we are shooting inside a hotel. We have been assigned separate rooms, and we’re required to wear masks and keep constant social distance. No one is permitted to enter the hotel, and we are not permitted to leave.
It’s a lesser-known fact that Prithvi Tanwar changed his name from Mahesh Tanwar to Prithvi Tanwar. What is the reason behind this?
Prithvi was my Tauji’s (uncle) name. He is no more. I was very close to him. In honour of his memory, I changed my name. Despite the fact that he is no longer with us, I want to honour his memory and make him proud.
