Donald Trump trolled for tweets on why he stopped strike on Iran

In a series of tweets on Friday US President Donald Trump explained why he had first ordered a strike on Iran and then withdrew the order.

Iran had brought down a US drone, prompting President Trump to fume that Iran had made a big mistake. Iran followed it up by releasing a video of the incident.

On Friday the US President tweeted that barely ten minutes before the strike, he had enquired how many would die as a result of the strike. A General apparently told him that 150 Iranians could die. The US President in his tweet said the casualty figure was disproportionate and hence he called off the strike.

He was quickly trolled for misspelling ‘sites’ as ‘sights’, for giving out classified information that three sites were to be hit and was pointedly asked why he had not enquired about the loss of lives BEFORE ordering the strike.

Trump was also mocked for saying that the drone was ‘unmanned’.

Another Twitter user admonished the President and tweeted, “ This drone? Because we are releasing the audio of the Iranians warning your drone to leave their air space about 10 times...Might wanna get your story straight...can’t say I’m surprised that our Spy Drone was, you know, Spying... Warmonger!

“On Monday they shot down an unmanned drone flying in International Waters. We were cocked & loaded to retaliate last night on 3 different sights when I asked, how many will die. 150 people, sir, was the answer from a General. 10 minutes before the strike I stopped it, not.... ....proportionate to shooting down an unmanned drone. I am in no hurry, our Military is rebuilt, new, and ready to go, by far the best in the world. Sanctions are biting & more added last night. Iran can NEVER have Nuclear Weapons, not against the USA, and not against the WORLD!

President Obama made a desperate and terrible deal with Iran - Gave them 150 Billion Dollars plus I.8 Billion Dollars in CASH! Iran was in big trouble and he bailed them out. Gave them a free path to Nuclear Weapons, and SOON. Instead of saying thank you, Iran yelled.....

Death to America. I terminated deal, which was not even ratified by Congress, and imposed strong sanctions. They are a much weakened nation today than at the beginning of my Presidency, when they were causing major problems throughout the Middle East. Now they are Bust!....”
