Incessant rainfall has battered Kerala for more than 48 hours and a red alert has been issued in nine districts. Major and minor landslides have been reported in Wayanad and Kozhikode districts. NDRF teams have been pushed into rescue operations. At least 26,000 persons have been evacuated.
