Sending out strong political message to the party cadres and unveiling his agenda for the Lok Sabha election – 2019, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that he along with the opposition parties will change the prime minister in the next general election.

Addressing a huge gathering of protesting farmers at Jantar Mantar, he said no one will be able to silence the voice of farmers and youth.

“Any government which humiliates the farmers of the country will be changed…and this is going to happen in 2019,” said Rahul.

The Congress president further said, he will do anything, right from changing the law, the chief ministers or even the prime minister to ensure the welfare of the farmers.

Hitting out at the prime minister, Rahul Gandhi reiterated that PM Modi has a face but he does not have his own voice. He speaks the language of 15 richest people of the country, including Adani and Ambani.

Speaking on the issues of rising unemployment among youths and the deepening agrarian crisis, Rahul Gandhi roared in the rally, “Farmers of the country are not seeking a free gift from the Modi government…they are fighting for their rights...this country is run by farmers and workers, not by a party or a person. Farmers are not asking for Anil Ambani’s plane. The farmers are just saying that if PM Modi can give ₹30,000 crores of Air Force money to Anil Ambani. If he can give his 15 friends ₹3 lakh 50 thousand crores then for their hard-work, blood and sweat, he can at least waive off their loans.”

Citing agrarian crisis and unemployment as two major problems India is facing today, Rahul alleged that the Modi government has divided the country in pockets and handed it over to Ambani and Adani.

Insurance ka paisa Ambani ki jeb me gaya (premium of the Kisan Fasal Beema Yojna went into Ambani’s pocket)”, he alleged. "If this government can waive ₹3.5 lakh crore loans of 15 big industrialists, why can't the loans of crores of farmers in the country be waived?" he asked.
