A team of representatives led by Muslim Youth League National General Secretary, Sri C K Subair visited the bereaved family of Pehlu Khan, who had been brutally beaten to death by gau rakshaks. The leaders directly met his family members at Jaisinghpur in Nuh district of Haryana to console them and to ensure all support in the sorry plight of the family. The visit was occasioned by the verdict of court in Rajasthan's Alwar on August 14 which acquitted all six accused in the Pehlu Khan lynching case.

The delegation team consisted of national Vice Presidents, Adv. VK Faisal Babu, Asif Ansari, Mohammed Arif, executive member Shibu Meeran, Haryana youth league leaders including Mohammed Anees.

Leaders met Saibuna, Pehlu Khan wife and their children, Irshad, Arif, Mubarak and Insad and offered wholehearted support in their fight for justice.

On the request of Pehlu Khan’s wife, the team promised to give full assistance for the continuing education of her younger son, Insad and also to meet the wedding expenses of her younger daughter. The leaders also held a meeting with Adv.


Asad Hayat, Pehlu Khan’s lawyer to discuss the details of the case and to examine the deliberate lapses from the side of authorities to weaken the case, which led to the acquittal of accused in sessions court. The lawyer briefed that postmortem report of Pehlu Khan, clearly stated that he died of multiple internal injuries caused by severe blows.

The six persons named by Khan were not charge-sheeted by the police. The court also did not admit video of crime as evidence. However the family is determined to go for an appeal against the acquittal of the accused. The lawyers Nasir Naqwi and Shahid Hassan ( Rajasthan bar council chairman) will appear in Jaipur High Court.

The appeal is being prepared under the direct supervision and legal advices of Kapil Sibal and other senior advocates in Supreme Court. Youth league delegates assured all assistance for the further legal battle.

Later, Sri C K Subair commented that youth league will orchestrate more vehement political and legal fight against mob violence perpetrated by Sangh Parivar. He also revealed their plan to form an extended platform for all those indulged in similar legal battles across the country.
