UP Assembly's monsoon session from August 20
The monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly will be held from August 20, official sources said on Monday.
The session is expected to have around four sittings in which the first supplementary budget of the current fiscal 2020-21 and around a dozen bills, for which ordinances have been promulgated when the Houses were not in session, will be passed.
The session will be held by observing social distancing and other health protocols.

2 Jaish militants killed in Kashmir encounter
Two Jaish e Mohammad terrorists were killed in an encounter in South Kashmir's Anantnag district on Monday, officials said.
Police sources said the encounter which started early morning ended with the killing of both the terrorists in Sirhama. One of the slain militants is a local while the second one belongs to Pakistan. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from them.
On receiving specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area, the security forces zeroed in on the spot and came under heavy firing which triggered the encounter. It was a joint operation by the police and the army.

4 aides of terrorists arrested in J&K
The Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with security forces, have arrested four terrorist aides during two separate search operations in North Kashmir's Bandipore district on Sunday, officials said.
Acting on a specific input, the police along with the army and CRPF personnel, arrested a terrorist associate during a search operation in Chandargeer area of Bandipore.
"He has been identified as Shafat Ahmad Dar, a resident of Chandargeer. Incriminating materials, including a live grenade, has been recovered from his possession," police said.
