Lata Mangeshkar’s health improves, home soon
Lataji was admitted into the hospital on Monday due to lung infection and breathing problem
Worried devotees of the ‘Goddess Of All Melodious Things’ can breathe a sigh of relief. Lataji’s health is improving steadily and surely.
She is expected to be discharged soon.
A source very close to Lataji informed me on Saturday morning, “She is much better now.”
Lataji was admitted into the hospital on Monday due to lung infection and breathing problem. Since then there has been constant speculation on her health conditions, mostly exaggerated if not entirely untrue.
Making the situation worse was the probing that Lataji’s well-wishers from the film industry were subjected to.
Hema Malini, who shares a very warm rapport with Lataji, received random calls from gossip writers.
“I was asked to comment on her health when I was as clueless and concerned as all her fans. It is very unfair to probe and pry and violate the privacy of relatives of friends at a time like this,” Hemaji says sternly.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali who spoke to Lataji just days before she was hospitalized says, “The most respectful thing you can do at a time like this is to give her space to recover. Lataji has brought unfathomable joy to million of Indian for generations. She and her family deserve a bit of privacy at a time like this.”
Now that Lataji is well on the way to recovery the probing can stop.
