Kerala: Muslim League volunteers clean flooded Ram temple in Wayanad
As the rains began to subside over the week, White Guards, the volunteers of the Muslim Youth League, set out to clean temples in north Kerala
Kerala has been reeling under floods this month of August and many parts of northern Kerala have been underwater for over three days. The rains have flooded many areas, while completely submerging buildings and houses.
But, as the rains began to subside over the week, efforts to clean building which have remained underwater began in full force. When the water level receded, White Guards, the volunteers of the Muslim Youth League, set out to clean temples and local buildings.
The Lord Ram temple in Wayanad’s Sulthan Bathery has been under water for more than two days and as a result was completely covered in muck. The volunteers of White Guard swung into action at the temple. The temple and premises were cleaned completely.
The White Guards also helped clean the Pazhayangadi Mahadevi temple located in Kannur district which had also flooded.
