Chand Mian, whose son Altaf died in police custody in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj last week, has now demanded CBI probe in the case and a second post-mortem by AIIMS doctors.
Chand Mian says that the case against his son was registered one and a half hours after his death.
Also, it has come to light that the girl whose disappearance had prompted her father to file a police complaint against Altaf, has turned out to be a major. She is 19-years-old as per her school documents. The girl was found at the Kasganj railway station, police said.
However, Altaf’s family suspects that the police will now cook up a new story to cover up their crime.
Chand Mian has written a letter to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, asking for justice for his son. He has said that he would sit on hunger strike if his grievances are not addressed.
According to police, Altaf attempted suicide at 2:30 pm on 9th November.
