Kannan Gopinathan: There was a time when protesting wrongs of Govt was patriotic, not anti national

Slamming Modi government over curbing protest across the country, Kannan Gopinathan while sharing an old pic from the protest against corruption wrote, “there was a time when protesting the wrongs of Govt was considered patriotic.”

“Now protesting is anti-national & met with violence on streets But protest we shall. Nothing more patriotic than fighting the evil that is this Govt,” Kannan further wrote.

Later giving details about the photo, Kannan tweeted, “To clarify, this was JanLokpal protest, my UPSC preparation days. Not even once the thought crossed mind that protesting could affect my chances. Unlike now, when aspirants don't even RT a post out of fear. Have to thank @INCIndia for all that we took for granted I guess.”
