Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship for 2021 awarded to distinguished political scientist Professor Valerian Rodrigues
Professor Valerian Rodrigues, who retired as Professor at the Centre for Political Studies at JNU, will work on the project ‘The Idea of Democracy in Nehru and Lohia’
The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund has announced the award of the Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship for the year 2021 to distinguished political scientist Professor Valerian Rodrigues.
Professor Rodrigues will work on the project ‘The Idea of Democracy in Nehru and Lohia’.
Professor Rodrigues, who has had an illustrious career, retired as a Professor at the Centre for Political Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship is awarded for a period of one year. It carries a stipend of Rs 1 lakh per month and a contingency amount of Rs 75,000 per year.
With this, the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund has so far awarded 138 fellowships.
