Rahul Gandhi tweeted in support of the demands put forth by ICAI students, who are extremely discontent with the evaluation of papers and other rules that hinder them from doing well in exams.
Thousands of students on September 23 gathered to protest against the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) alleging error in evaluation of papers. At ICAI Delhi, over 1000 people came out expressing their dissatisfaction at various mishandling of evaluation by the ICAI.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted in support of the protestors, and urged all politicians to take some action for the suffering students.
“Across India 12 Lakh CA students are fighting for their right to have their exam papers re-evaluated by ICAI. Given the widespread reports of errors in the evaluation of answer sheets, this demand is justified & should be supported by all political parties.”
A tweet by a candidate says the students want the following demands to be taken seriously by the ICAI:
1) Re-Correction
2) Give Ques Booklet of MCQs and Disclose correct Answers while providing certified copies
3) Penalize Paper Checkers for wrong checking
4) Dark the MCQs With Pen In exams
5) Centralised Evaluation
Some students thanked him for his support, welcomed this show of solidarity from the Congress leader.
