Haryana Congress leader and spokesperson Vikas Chaudhary was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Faridabad on Thursday.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, more than ten bullets were fired at him by unidentified men after he came out of a gym.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi condemned the killing of Vikas Chaudhary in Faridabad, Haryana. He said, its is a shameful, condemnable and unfortunate incident. This reflects the deteriorating law and order situation in Haryana. May God give his family strength in this hour of sorrow and may his soul rest in peace.”
“He was brought to the hospital in the morning. Doctors tried their best to save him… But we could not save him,” a doctor said.
Soon after the incident, Congress took to Twitter to condemn the “act of grosteque violence” and urged the Haryana government to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Haryana Congress President Ashok Tanwar said, "It's 'jungle raj', there is no fear of law. Same kind of incident happened yesterday, where a woman who opposed molestation was stabbed. There should be an investigation."
Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala also condemned the death of Vikas Chaudhary
