Amid the Coronavirus crisis in the country, India has been witnessing a constant fuel price hike since past 19 days.
Transport fuel prices surpassed ₹ 80 per litre mark in Delhi.
While the opposition is planning agitations and protests in various ways in the time of coronavirus, people on social media expressed their concern in various ways over the constantly rising price of fuel. Some are simply anxious while the rest reacted with funny memes and jokes.
Meanwhile, old tweets of Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Anupam Kher about petrol and diesel price hike went viral as netizens wanted them to speak up this time also.
People all over social media platforms are questioning their silence this time.
Actor Akshay Kumar deleted his old tweet after being trolled for being mum over the current fuel price hike.
Diesel is now priced at ₹ 80.03 per litre in the Capital, higher by 14 paise over its Wednesday price when it surpassed the pump price of petrol in Delhi for the first time ever.
The fuel price remained higher than petrol by 10 paise even on Thursday. Along with diesel, petrol prices have also risen, a tad higher at 16 paise taking its pump price in Delhi to ₹ 79.92 a litre.
