CRPF battalion in Delhi reports 46 COVID-19 cases, one Jawan dies

47 cases of COVID-19 has been reported at CRPF battalion in Delhi. This includes one jawan who died on Tuesday. The battalion of around 1,000 people has been quarantined. In the last couple of days, there has been a massive spike in number of cases at 31st battalion of the CRPF located east Delhi's Mayur Vihar.

CRPF jawans who tested positive for coronavirus are being treated at the facility in Mandawali. Tests are being conducted to check if there are more cases

A 55-year-old CRPF jawan died at Safdarjung Hospital on Tuesday.

Earlier, a jawan who is a nursing assistant from paramedic unit of the CRPF tested positive earlier this month. The jawan, who joined the battalion, started showing symptoms on April 17 and tested positive on April 21. He has been admitted to Delhi's Rajiv Gandhi Hospital.
