BJP’s income doubles to ₹2,410 crore in the year 2018-19 

The Bharatiya Janata Party's total income for the year 2018-19 was more than ₹2,410 crore. This is a rise of 134% over its ₹1,027 crore income shown in the year 2017-18, reported The Times of India.

In the ruling party’s annual audit report for the year 2018-2019, out of the ₹2,410 crore income declared, over ₹1,450 crores came only from electoral bonds.

The audit report has been submitted to the Election Commission of India. In the year 2017-18, the Bharatiya Janata Party had declared an income of ₹210 crores from the electoral bonds.

In the year 2018-19, total expenditure declared by the saffron party for 2018-19 stood at above ₹1,005 crores. This is a 32% rise over its ₹758 crore expenditure during 2017-18, reported TheTimes of India.

The party’s annual audit report has shown ₹792.4 crores as expenditure on the election and general propaganda in the year 2018-19, which was ₹567 crores in 2017-18.
