Here’s some easy things to do to survive the smog:
1) Wear protective masks whenever you step out. N95/99 masks should be used and not surgical masks.
2) Wear protective clothing as pollutants affect your skin
3) Use air purifiers inside homes, classrooms, offices and cars
4) Do not burn incense and camphor and avoid spraying insect repellents
5) Refrain from morning walks and outdoor activities. Schools should ban all outdoor activities
6) Restrain children from playing outdoors
7) Put air-purifying plants such as Aloe Vera, Devil’s Ivy, Philodendron and Spider Plant in home, offices and classrooms
8) Inhale steam every day to clear your air-passages and help remove harmful particulate matters from lungs
9) Eat fruits rich in Vitamin C, magnesium and foods rich in Omega Fatty Acids.
10) Drink green tea or herbal tea
