Old women, now popular as ‘Daadis’ of Shaheen Bagh reached Patna’s Phulwari Sharif to show solidarity with the anti-CAA protest on Saturday. They made it clear that this protest will not fade out. They will continue to fight the draconian Citizenship Amendment Act in their peaceful way. One of the Dadis, Asma Khatun asserted that they understand very well it’s a long and tough fight but will not bow down. Dadi named her nine generations that lived in died in India and said that if PM Modi can do the same then they will go and talk to him. She read many verses and motivated the women protesting at Phulwari Sharif. Her brief speech was welcomed with loud applause by the protesters.
