This campaign has caught the attention of celebrities like Gajraj Rao, Rajesh Tailang and Raghav Juyal and they have urged people to watch and support independent film makers and asked audiences to be the hero of the film.
Helmed by director Smita Singh and produced by 8 Pillar Motion Pictures, the makers of the film decided to release the film by running a campaign on social media, after facing release hiccups. Written by Anand Raaj, the film started streaming from November 20 on Open Theatre http://www.opentheatre.in
Rajesh Tailang who is also an integral part of the film says, "Whenever we hear of any new film, the first question arises -who is the hero of this film? Because a hero creates a belief in audiences to watch the film. But sometimes a good film fails to reach the audiences because it doesn't have a hero. Andaman is one of the good films which needs a hero to reach the masses and you can be that hero."
Veteran actor Gajraj Rao lends his support and shares, "In the last 2 years, Covid has caused a havoc in our lives and turned it upside down. On this same subject my friend and director Smita Singh has made a film named Andaman. I watched its trailer and really liked it. The film has released now and I request you to watch whenever you get time. If you really like it, please encourage such young film makers."
Actor and dancer Raghav Juyal says,"We always look got hero and heroine in the film before watching any film. But sometimes actors fail to make it reachable to the masses because of not having a big name. Andaman is also one the film which is very beautiful and it needs a hero to reach its audiences and you are the hero! Please support these independent films and filmmakers."
