Kangna Ranaut's film Mankarnika will be releasing on January 25 along with Hrithik Roshan's Super 30.  The producer of the film Kamal Jain defends the release date saying, “the date belongs to a film like this we can only have independence day or Republic Day for this films. That is why we chose that date.''

But when told that the film has had two release dates in the past, Jain said, “it is a lavish film and a lot of time was needed for post production.'' He also defended that there is place in the cinemas for two films to release on the same day. When told that there are speculations that it was deliberately done. Jain reacted, “not true at all.  Like I told you only two dates suit this film and that is real reason we chose Republic day. It is a holiday period and suitable for a subject of my film.”

Hrithik Roshan’s film is based on the life of Anand Kumar who claims to prepare students for IIT free of cost. But recent media reports in Bihar state that isn’t the truth. One will have to wait and watch what happens to the the clash at the box office.

It may recalled here that Kangna Ranaut had alleged that Hrithik Roshan was her ex-boyfriend. The actress reacted when she was asked about Hrithik Roshan being responsible for exit from Aashiqui 3. The actress reportedly said, `` "Yes, many lame rumours are doing rounds, even a dumb ass can tell where these rumours are coming from. I don't know why exes do silly things to get your attention. For me that chapter is over and I don't dig graves.".

Hrithik Roshan reacted by a tweet and then sending her legal notices asking her to apologise which never happened instead a pandora's box opened and the mess continues.
