Ajay Bahl signs Kartik Aryan for a social comedy

In  June 2021, Kartik Aryan will start shooting for director Ajay Bahl’s social comedy. The film to be produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies would feature Kartik in a never-before avatar.

Kartik who has a jampacked year ahead agreed to squeeze in one more project because he couldn’t resist it.

“Ajay Bahl who has made films on bold unexplored themes in BA Pass and Section 375, has a very unusual role for Kartik. It’s a lighthearted but extremely relevant character that would require a long preparation from Kartik. But the actor is up to the task.

He will first finish his film with  Ram Madhvani which starts shooting in  December, then complete Priyadarshan’s Bhool Bhulaiya and Karan  Johar’s Dostana  2 and then go on to Ajay Behl’s film which starts shooting in  June 2021,” says an informed source.

Last year  Kartik tried something different in  Imtiaz Ali’s  Love Aaj Kal but failed miserably. He has since then been looking for roles that would challenge him as an actor.
