TVF Tripling Season 2 premieres in Gurgaon in front of a spirited crowd
TVF which is noted for its youth centric content has been a pioneer in the field of web based programming in India
The much-awaited second season of TVF Tripling recently had its premiere in Gurgaon ahead of its release on TVF PLAY and Sony Liv platforms on 5 April 2019. And three out of five episodes were screened as part of the special presentation. TVF which is noted for its youth centric content has been a pioneer in the field of web based programming in India. Since then it has come a long way in terms of reach and production values. Ever since the success of the first season of TVF Tripling following its release a couple of years ago there has been a great anticipation regarding a sequel but the wait it finally over.
The second season of TVF Tripling finds the three siblings Chandan (played by Sumeet Vyas), Chanchal (played by Maanvi Gagroo) and Chitvan (played by Amol Parashar) at crossroads. Seemingly scandalous revelations in a book written by Chandan about Chanchal’s husband’s weak libido have turned her life upside down. She is furious to learn that the book would be adapted into a movie soon. Already the book has brought infamy to her husband and his royal family and the film will only add insult to the injury. To make the matters worse, Chanchal’s husband has disappeared owing to the chaos and Chanchal is a primary suspect. As a last resort, she is forced to take a road-trip along with her two brothers in a bid to solve the mystery and retrieve her husband. Will they succeed in unmasking the truth or will they all get caught in an even bigger mess?
Delhi girl Maanvi Gagroo, who was present on the occasion, revealed, “Chanchal is a part so dear to me that I think it really belongs to me. Ever since we started working on the first season of Tripling we all wanted it to be a franchise of sorts. The fact that the first season received such a good response, coming out with the second season was the next obvious choice. I remember I used to constantly nag creative team regarding the progress they have made with the script. So I am so glad that it’s eventually here.”
After gaining popularity with TVF Pitchers, Maanvi has quickly risen in ranks to become one of the most popular faces on the web with titles like Four More Shots Please, Made in Heaven, and TVF Tripling to her credit. “Fortunately I have always chosen cards that I have felt instinctively positive about. So everything else has happened incidentally,” confessed Maanvi. But her busy schedules have made her visit to Delhi less frequent. “Since my parents are based out of Delhi I used to visit them very frequently but because of the time constraints during the last one year I haven’t been able to come to Delhi as often and so now I get my parents to come visit me in Mumbai,” revealed Maanvi who would be next seen in a short film titled Musafir. With revealing any specifics, she also speculated about the second season of Four More Shots Please which the creative team is trying to put together for Amazon Prime Video.
Even as Tripling’s second season opened to loud cheers, the TVF think-tank provided a sneak peek of what lies in store—as many as 22 originals along with a feature film—to the spirited crowd present at the season premiere.
