Martyr Captain Vikram Batra was a real Kargil Hero who laid his life, and his battalion captured and hoisted the Indian tricolour at the crucial height. Captain Vikram Batra was full of courage and valour and his favourite line ‘Yeh Dil Mange More’ became the punch line of famous brand. ‘Shershaah’ the most popular movie at Prime Video, portrays the life of martyr Captain Vikram Batra. The difficult task was to write a script for the film on the life of Captain Vikram Batra. The information about Captain Vikram Batra was available at media and social media in huge quantity but to understand the great hero was a difficult task.
This great and difficult task was given to one of the famous script writer of Bollywood Sandeep Srivastava. Script writer of Ab Tak Chhappan, Kabul Express and New York, Sandeep Srivastava readily accepted this offer as it was his wish to meet this great hero when he was alive.
After watching ‘Shershaah’ one can say that Sandeep Srivastava did justice to the task he was offered. Though it was a very difficult task, but Sandeep tried to meet every individual which crossed the path of Captain Vikram Batra. Sandeep Srivastava shared with National Herald what difficulties he faced, what his experiences was and his views about various aspects of the movie and martyr Captain Vikram Batra.
