Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif shoot together for ad film; exes being ‘professional’ is new trend in Bollywood

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have shot together for a mobile phone commercial. But nobody believed that the two could come together to shoot an advertisement after their break up. The internet went completely berserk after watching the phone commercial that also featured rapper Badshah. The social media was abuzz with rumours that the two shot the advertisement separately. Katrina Kaif was forced to clarify on public platform that she has actually shot the commercial with Ranbir Kapoor for the phone ad.

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir dated for six years before they broke up in 2016. Ranbir and Deepika Padukone too have dated and have shot a paint ad together. Though in the new commercial of the paint Ranbir and Katrina did shoot separately but for the mobile phone ad Katrina Kaif and Ranbir have shot together.

So now it is apparent that it’s cool to work with exes in Bollywood. Deepika Padukone was the first one who set the trend of working with her former boyfriend in Imtiaz Ali Tamasha and Ayan Mukherji's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. The film was almost like what happened in their personal lives and the two did a fantastic job on screen. They even promoted the films together and spoke about caring for each other even after the split.

Initially, there were signs from Katrina Kaif that she may never work with Ranbir Kapoor after the split as it was not a very amicable separation. But with the two coming together for a mobile phone commercial clearly indicates that all is well between them as professionals.

Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan never confessed about being together or their split. Katrina Kaif's closeness to Ranbir Kapoor was not liked by Salman Khan. Nevertheless, the actor worked with the actress in Tiger Zinda Hai just after she split with Ranbir Kapoor. Salman Khan has been supportive of Katrina Kaif, both continue to be friends and Salman is often seen promoting and recommending her for other films.

Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh had started dating each other after the success of Band Bajaa Baarat. They broke up but not much was made about it and Ranveer went on to make films with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and met Deepika Padukone. Anushka and Ranveer were offered Dil Dhadakne Do by Zoya Akhtar both agreed to work together keeping their differences aside. Deepika was already in his life and if sources are to be believed she even spent time with Ranveer on the sets of Dil Dhadakne Do.

It took about a decade for Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor to come together for a film after their split during the making of Jab We Met. The two of them worked together in Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab but were not paired opposite each other. It may be noted here that Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor did shoot a love song after they split during the shooting of Jab We Met. The makers then even encashed on the split by calling the media on set to cover the shoot.

Shahid Kapoor has had many link-up rumours, but one of the most talked-about was with Priyanka Chopra. The two were known for having an on and off relationship which ended due to unknown reasons. Both even went on record talking about how they have no hard feelings. And when they came together for Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey, fans couldn’t spot any room for awkwardness. And maybe that’s why the film went on to be successful. Another film they were working on when they broke up was titled Teri Meri Kahani directed by Kunal Kohli. But the two promoted the film together. The film failed to impress the audience.

Now we hear that Kartik Aaryan's love story with Sara Ali Khan is over in just six months. But they were spotted being cordial with each other particularly in Karan Johar's Diwali party. It seems they have no choice but to be cordial with each other as their film Love Aaj Kal 2 is ready to be released and they will have to promote the film together!
