Salman Khan in a still from Tubelight

Salman Khan starrer, Tubelight is being touted as a human story depicting how people get affected as two countries go to war. It traces the emotional journey of a character called Laxman Singh Bisht played by Salman. The film will also see Shah Rukh in a cameo role.

Much is being predicted about Tubelight, as the film’s release date is close. Salman Khan fans are naturally expecting the film to be a super hit. But will the film dance at the box office?

Film distributor Akshaye Rathi, admits that Eid is the ideal occasion for Salman’s release because he enjoys an exclusive popularity among his Muslim fans. But he believes that the box-office earning of the film may dip in the initial days of release. The trend is that footfall during Ramzan is not much but after Eid, the earning of the film is expected to increase gradually, something that happened with Salman’s Wanted too.

Films like Dangal and Bahubali 2 have already performed well at the Box-office. Now, the hopes of the film fraternity are hinging on Tubelight.

Raabta actress Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon of Heropanti fame feels that outsiders in the film industry should make sure they get noticed in the initial stage of their career because of less opportunities to shine in the industry.

The actress says, “When you don't come from a film background and you don’t have a surname, it is very important for you to stand out in a film and make people notice you. It takes a little longer for people to know you in the industry and outside. I have to make more efforts to reach out to people. It takes a little more time, I feel. But if you are doing good work, eventually it doesn't matter.”

The 26-year-old actress says she waits for right kind of roles and chooses films which give her a scope to perform.

Speaking about reaching the seven million mark on Instagram, the actress said, “The love people show is overwhelming, but at the same time I feel, do I deserve it? But my fans keep me motivated. Their support is something which I really need and it makes me want to do better.”
