Bollywood might not always make the most inspirational cinema, but it does not fail to take inspiration from around the world. They've generally resorted to choosing hit movies from the west and remaking them scene to scene. Here is a list of 7 actors who are going to be starring in the official Hindi remakes of some super successful international titles.

1. Wamiqa Gabbi in the remake of 'Modern Love'

The young and talented actor, Wamiqa Gabbi will be starring in The Anne Hathway-starrer Modern Love series called 'Modern Love: Mumbai'. The project, backed by Amazon Prime video would be a romantic comedy anthology that brings together six unique and critically acclaimed directors of the Hindi cinema. Wamiqa Gabbi will share screen space with Pratik Gandhi and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the show. Well, we definitely can't wait for this one!

2. Aamir Khan in Forest Gump's Hindi remake, Laal Singh Chaddha

Tom Hanks' 1994 blockbuster, 'Forest Gump' is officially getting a Hindi remake with Aamir Khan portraying the titular role in the film. This news broke the internet as soon as it was announced as it got all his fans super excited. This film also marks the reunion of the iconic 3 Idiots trio - Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Mona Singh.


3. Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in the remake of 'The Intern'

Deepika Padukone turned producer with ‘Chhapaak’ and soon announced yet another production venture with the Hindi remake of Hollywood hit ‘The Intern’ opposite the megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The film is an intimate, relationship-driven film, set in and around the workplace; a story that is very relevant to the present-day social and cultural environment. Its original international star cast includes Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway.

4. Taapsee Pannu in the remake of 'Julia's Eyes', called 'Blur'

Taapsee Pannu will co-produce the Hindi remake of the Spanish psychological thriller, Julia's Eyes, titled 'Blur'. The film co-stars Gulshan Devaiah and will also mark her first co-production. The film tells the story of a woman who's slowly losing her sight whilst trying to investigate the death of her twin sisters. Well, the plot of this film and the fact that Taapsee would be there in the lead roles has already got us thrilled! Let's hope that the makers announce the release date soon.


5. Tiger Shroff in the Hindi remake of 'Rambo'

What can be more exciting than witnessing Tiger Shroff stepping into the shoes of popular Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone for the remake of the classic action film Rambo? Tiger Shroff has given a new meaning to action with his agile stunts and enviable physique and looks like he aims to achieve even bigger heights with this one!

6. Ajay Devgn in the Hindi remake of 'Luther' called 'Rudra'

Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness is a psychological crime drama, which is a remake of the British TV show Luther. The show stars Ajay Devgn in the lead role along with Esha Deol, Raashii Khanna and Atul Kulkarni. The show also marks Ajay's digital debut. It's streaming now on Disney+ Hotstar.


7. Aditya Roy Kapur in the Hindi remake of 'The Night Manager'

Aditya Roy Kapur is making his web series debut with a remake of the British hit series 'The Night Manager'. The original was an espionage thriller and featured Tom Hiddleston as an undercover agent. The Hindi remake will have him playing the titular role.
