Don’t have COVID-19 because I drink cow urine: Pragya Thakur

Cow urine can cure lung infection caused by Covid, BJP MP Pragya Thakur has said, adding that she takes cow urine every day and it has protected her from the coronavirus.

In a video that went viral on social media, Thakur was seen speaking at an event where she spoke about the ‘benefits’ of cow urine in preventing the Covid-19 infection. She specified the urine of ‘desi cows’ as being beneficial, asking others to have one at home.

Two years ago, she had claimed that a mix of cow urine and other cow products had cured her cancer.

Earlier this month, a BJP MLA in Uttar Pradesh, Surendra Singh, had claimed that drinking cow urine had protected him from the coronavirus. He also recommended "cow urine with a glass of cold water".

Meanwhile, India, in the last 24 hours, recorded 2,81,386 new Covid-19 cases. However, 4,106 people succumbed to the disease in the said period, which pushed up the death toll to 274,390.
