Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday attacked the Yogi Adityanath dispensation over the cancellation of the Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test following leakage of its question paper, alleging that corruption in recruitment has become the identity of the BJP government.
The exam was supposed to be held at 10 am on November 28 but following information of paper leaks, the exam has been cancelled. Just before the exam was about to begin, the question paper went viral on several WhatsApp groups in Ghaziabad, Mathura, and Bulandshahr.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi took to her Twitter handle to attack Yogi Adityanath’s government. She tweeted in Hindi, “Corruption in recruitment, paper leak has become the identity of the BJP government. Today the hardwork of lakhs of youths was ruined due to the paper leak of UPTET.”
“Every time paper is leaked, Yogi Adityanath ji’s government has saved the big fishes involved in corruption, that is why corruption is at its peak,” the Congress general secretary said.
More than 19.99 lakh candidates were to appear for the UPTET. The exam was scheduled to have two papers--Paper 1 was to be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm for primary school teachers. Paper 2 was to be conducted for higher primary school, teachers from 2:30 am to 5 pm.

Meanwhile, basic education minister Dr Satish Dwivedi said that the Uttar Pradesh government will conduct the exam again within a month. The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will hold the exam after a month and the candidates will not have to pay any fees again.
