MK Venu, The Founding editor of The Wire revealed in an exclusive interview to National Herald that Pegasus Project had also found that the spyware was snooping on some big names from Indian business world. It is to be recalled that NSO, the Israeli spyware company had disclosed that they only work for governments.

The Government of India in its official statement has asserted that the entire exercise of the Pegasus Project was to malign India. MK Venu said the Government should come clean if it has bought Pegasus. If they haven't used the spyware against journalists and activists then why is a foreign government snooping on us? In either case, this is a subject for investigation.

MK Venu, the founding editor of The Wire said that judiciary and the people of the land have the responsibility to restore democracy.
