Bharti Singh arrested in Bollywood drug case  

Popular comedian Bharti Singh has been arrested after questioning by the Narcotics Control Bureau after a "small quantity of cannabis" was recovered during raids at her Mumbai residence. Bharti Singh’s husband Harsh Limbachiyaa examination is also underway at the NCB office in Mumbai.

Earlier in the day, NCB officials raided Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa's residence in connection with the drug probe being carried out after actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death in June. NCB conducted raids at two places, which includes Bharti and Harsh's production house office and residence in Mumbai.

According to the ANI tweet, NCB sleuths recovered 86.5 gms of Ganja from both places. The tweet further confirmed that both Bharti & her husband Harsh Limbachiya accepted the consumption of Ganja.

Bharti Singh is currently seen on "The Kapil Sharma Show" where she plays the character of "Lalli”. According to the media reports, Bharti’s name emerged during questioning of a drug peddler. The NCB has been probing the alleged drug use in Bollywood after the death of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June on the basis of WhatsApp chats involving drugs.

The NCB has so far arrested more than 23 people in Bollywood drug probe, which includes Sushant’s girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and some employees of the late film star. Rhea Chakraborty and some other accused are currently out on bail.
