When majority loses patience, Godhra happens, says Karnataka Minister CT Ravi over CAA protests

CT Ravi, Karnataka’s Tourism and Culture Minister on Thursday, said that incidents like Godhra riots might get repeated if “majority community loses its patience.”

In a video, where CT Ravi is speaking to the media, said, “ If you’ve forgotten about what happens when the majority loses patience, just look back at what happened after Godhra. The majority here is capable of repeating it. Don’t test our patience."

Earlier on Thursday, two people were reportedly killed as violence broke out during an anti-CAA protest in Mangaluru.

Earlier on Tuesday, Union Minister of State for Railways, Suresh Angadi said that protesters who destroy public property should be shot at sight.

"I strictly warn concerned district administrations and railway authorities, if anybody destroys public property, including railways, I direct as a Minister to shoot them at sight."
