The BJP-RSS combine has spread hatred in India, while Congress unites people, stressed the Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Berlin.
Rahul Gandhi, who is on the second leg of his four-day tour to Germany and United Kingdom, addressed a conference of the Indian Overseas Congress in Germany at Stauffernbergstrasse in Berlin.
Invoking founder of Sikhism and the first Sikh Guru Nanak, Gandhi said his ideologies came from Nanak Sahib. "You think, perhaps some of my thoughts come from Guru Nanak, but let me tell you all my thoughts come from the ideals of Guru Nanak," said Rahul.
Rahul reiterated that "unity in diversity" is India’s strength. “India’s strength is its ability to listen to the voice of all its people, especially the weakest. This is the belief of everyone one across all faiths,” pointed out Rahul Gandhi.
Currently, everyone is talking of ‘development’, but the thoughts of Indians were 'developed’ years ago, from before the time of Guru Nanakji. Historiically, such people are there in every region.
“This is what Congress stands for. It works for everyone and it is our duty to spread this idea.” Slamming the BJP-RSS combine, Rahul Gandhi said,”The current BJP government works differently. The members of BJP and RSS are willing to even sell and split the country. They have been spreading hatred.”
In contrast, the the job of the Congress is to unite people and “this is something that we have proved by our actions”, underscored the Congress president.

In India, there there are more than crores of youngsters. “In China, which is our competitor, the government provides jobs to almost 25,000 youngsters every 24 hours. In contrast, the Indian government is able to provide jobs to only 450 youngsters. All that the BJP does is give lengthy speeches and split the country, while farmers are committing suicides and the youngsters are jobless and clueless.
Rahul Gandhi pressed home the importance of moving ahead with everyone and not just a few.
In his address, Rahul also praised and thanked the people of Punjab for supporting and choosing Congress in the last assembly election.
