SSC Exam Scam: Rahul assures support to protestors

After frying ‘Pakodas’ labelled as various government schemes— Digital India, Startup India, and Make in India—and selling them on Friday, at least 50 teachers and about 200 protestors went on a hunger strike to make their words heard by the Staff Selection Commission and the Modi government.

“Although students were not supposed to go on a hunger strike, more than 200 of us are still to eat or even drink water as we voluntarily joined the teachers in the hunger strike,” a protestor told NH. “What else can we do when the government does not listen to us,” another protestor added.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi, in the meanwhile, reached the CGO complex on Friday and assured the protesting candidates of full support. “Central government is playing with the future of the youth. They are already incapable of providing employment and now, there are scams in examinations too,” Rahul told the protesting candidates.”

“We will raise this issue at every possible place and will demand for an enquiry,” the Congress President assured the protestors.

Meanwhile, the protesting candidates have declared a “Halla Bol” action on March 31. “Even after 18 days of protests, no one is willing to listen to our pain. We, now, give the government an ultimatum of 15 days after which candidates from all over the country will assemble outside the SSC HQ in New Delhi and demand the resignation of the minister,” protestors noted in a press release, without specifying the name or ministry of the ‘mantri ji’. “If our demands are not met before the 31st, there will be a show of strength of the unemployed in a completely unprecedented manner and it will set examples,” they warned the government.
