Entertainment: Forget Bieber, Ed Sheeran to enthrall Indian fans!

Singer Ed Sheeran’s official website mentions Mumbai as one of the cities he is going to visit on his Asia tour

Move over Justin Bieber, it is Ed Sheeran's turn to enthrall the Indian fans with his music on November 19. Sheeran's official website on Wednesday put out a post listing his dates for various cities during his tour of Asia in October and November with Mumbai being one of the stops.


The two-time Grammy-winning artist's latest single Shape of You is the current favourite of music lovers in India. Asian cities like Tokyo, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok and Dubai are also on his tour list. Ticket prices and date of sale is yet to be announced.


The 26-year-old singer is on tour to promote his third and latest album Divide. The first two singles from the album, Shape of You and Castle on the Hill were released in January 2017.


After Coldplay and Bieber, Sheeran will be the third major artiste to perform in India in recent times.

Riteish’s mega ‘Shivaji’ plan has Varma thrilled

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma drew attention on Thursday, not because his film Sarkar 3 will be released on Friday, but because he tweeted about another Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh’s grand new project on Maratha warrior Shivaji.

And then went on to say that Riteish wants to be pride of Maharashtra as Baahubali is for Andhra Pradesh

And, in subsequent tweets, he even thanked Riteish for venturing to make the ‘greatest Indian film’ ever! He even showered praises on the Maratha Warrior Shivaji and thus raised a question, who he was trying to please!


However, the fact remains that filmmaker Ravi Jadhav will be directing Chhatrapati Shivaji. Jadhav has earlier made movies like Balak-Palak and Sound of Heaven: The Story of Balgandharva.

But Ramu not discussing his own upcoming film Sarkar 3 at all, makes one wonder whether he was too jittery the entire day and so was trying to divert his attention!
