The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is in turmoil following the press conference by the Supreme Court's four senior judges last week and its measure can be gauged by Prime Minister's chief aide's hurried visit to the Chief Justice of India's residence, a Congress leader said on Monday.

"To what extent the BJP is responsible for turmoil in judiciary, has come to light by the fact that the Principal Secretary in PM's office Nripendra Misra rushed to the CJI's residence. What business does he have to do that? This needs investigation," party's Goa leader Shantaram Naik said at a press conference at the state party Congress headquarters here.

In an impromptu press conference, four senior judges of the apex court had alleged administrative malpractices in the Supreme Court allegedly at the behest of the Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, soon after which Mishra had met the CJI.
