58.92% voters beat the heat to vote in Bihar
Ignoring heat wave-like conditions, 58.92 per cent voters turned out to cast their votes in Bihar's five Lok Sabha constituencies that went to polls on Monday, till 5 p.m, said an official.
Polling was held in Begusarai, Ujiarpur, Darbhanga, Munger and Samastipur seats.
Rajasthan witnesses 66.72% polling till 5 pm
Rajasthan witnessed 62.06 per cent polling till 5 p.m. on Monday in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections with the highest polling recorded in Barmer at 67.92 per cent while the lowest voting took place in Tonk Sawai Madhopur at 55.35 per cent. The voter turnout is expected to increase.
Following Barmer, Chhittorgarh saw 66.97 per cent voting, Jhalawar-Baran 66.31 per cent, Banswara 66.12 per cent, Jodhpur 62.59 and Tonk Sawai Madhopur 55.35 per cent.

Over 67% voting in Madhya Pradesh
An average 66.09 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 6 pm across six Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh that went to polls Monday, an official said.
A total of 1.05 crore people were eligible to vote for the six seats. The polling began at 7 am.
"An average 66.09 per cent turnout was recorded till 6 pm. Those in queue (at 6pm) will be allowed to vote and the final figure will be released later," an election official said.
More than 64% polling in Jharkhand
Despite soaring temperatures, Jharkhand recorded more than 64 per cent polling on Monday for the three Lok Sabha seats in the state's Maoist-affected areas, according to the Election Commission (EC) data.
Polling began at 7 a.m. across 6,072 polling stations in Lohardaga, Chatra and Palamau Lok Sabha constituencies and ended at 4 p.m.

Odisha records more than 66% polling in fourth phase
Odisha recorded 66 per cent polling by 5 p.m in the fourth and final phase for six Lok Sabha and 41 Assembly seats in the state on Monday, said Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Surendra Kumar.
Barring stray incidents of violence, the polling has been smooth and peaceful across the constituencies, said the CEO.
"This is a tentative figure, which is very likely to change since the voting is still going on at several booths," said Kumar.
Maharashtra records 55.88% voting till 5 p.m.
A moderate voter turnout of 52.07 per cent was recorded in the fourth phase of polling for 17 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra till 5 p.m. on Monday, an Election Commission (EC) official said.
The tribal Nandurbar (ST) constituency recorded the highest 62.44 per cent voter turnout, while Kalyan in Thane district saw the lowest 41.64 per cent turnout.
